Teacher Fashion: Fall 2013

I’m a huge summer person. I could live in shorts and a tank top with no shoes on (doesn’t that sound perfect?). But whether I like it or not, autumn is right around the corner.

Why do I like autumn? Pumpkin muffins at Dunkin Donuts, pumpkin roll from the grocery store, pumpkin scented candles (did I mention that the smell of pumpkin is my favorite?) and most of all, getting to wear scarves, cute sweaters and jeans. I’m a sucker for a great pair of jeans paired with a plain tee and a fun scarf!

Feeling inspired, I decided to browse Pinterest to find said inspiration for cute, fall outfits that are teacher-worthy. Here’s what I came up with:

I’ve got the fever… the colored jean fever that is. I’m really loving the burnt orange color that’s in this fall, too. I think these jeans would look super adorable paired with a cream or white tee or sweater with a leopard scarf and brown boots.

As soon as I saw this outfit on Pinterest, I knew I had to look around to create a similar outfit for myself. I never would have thought to pair the color of the pants with the periwinkle color of the shirt, but it works. I probably wouldn’t rock the Converse… maybe a pair of TOMS.

I wish I had Lauren Conrad’s closet… she is one of my style icons. She always looks so chic and classy. For teaching, I would pair this outfit with some smaller heels since I would more than likely either break my neck or end up shoeless by the end of the day. Maybe a cute pair of flats?

This outfit screams Parent-Teacher Conferences or Meet the Parents night! It looks very well put together without trying too hard. I like the pop of green… but I think it would look cute with a coral or royal blue cardigan, too.

Who says you can’t wear white after labor day? I’m a huge fan of wearing white all year ’round. I’m pretty sure I own at least 4 pair of white jeans / pants / capris. I’m, also, pretty sure that I wear at least 1 pair a week. I just need to find a fitted white blazer…

Maybe this is more for winter, but I like the combo. I feel in love with maxi skirts this summer, so having the option to roll them out in the fall/winter seems like a great idea. Paired with a cute scarf, yes please!

Another outfit that screams teacher. I’ve been on the lookout for a nice navy striped shirt all summer. Now I know that I really need to find one soon… how adorable is this outfit?
